The Shape of Returning

Learning another person’s language

Original story concept

After years on tour, choreographer Hana returns to her city to create a smaller, more personal work. Her collaborator, sculptor Inés, is equally determined to make something that resists easy interpretation. Their first rehearsals are a collision of movement and stillness, precise plans and sudden instinct. Gradually, the piece becomes a conversation neither could have made alone. As attraction enters the process, they must find room for both intimacy and professional independence. The finished performance offers no perfect explanation of love—only the beautiful, unfinished shapes people make when they learn to meet each other.
